Association and Board
The CityInitiative Bremen was founded in 1995 as an association and is made up of representatives of the local retail trade, the local gastronomy and hotel industry, various service companies as well as cultural, economic and mobility institutions. The central themes of the CityInitiative are based on informing, networking and shaping. Together with the office, the course of the CityInitiative is set by the board, which in turn elects a three-member executive board. The latter represents the board. We introduce.

Jens Ristedt

Owner Modehaus Ristedt, Bremen
Jens Ristedt has been a member of the board since 2000 and has worked in his company since 1994. He is also active as Vice Chairman of the Bremen Tourist Association and on the Board of the BTE Textile Trade Association, Cologne. He is active in the retail and consumer-oriented services committee of the Bremen Chamber of Commerce and co-initiator of the Ansgari BID.
Stefan Brockmann

Stefan Brockmann has been a member of the CityInitiative since 2013 and has been on the board since 2016. He is also Vice President of the Bremen and Bremerhaven Chamber of Commerce. The focal points of his board activities are transport and cooperation with other business representatives and associations.
Stefan Storch

Stefan Storch has been a member of the CityInitiative since 1995 and has been on the board since 2013. In addition, Mr. Storch is one of the three advisory boards of the WallWerbe GbR, a member of the steering committee and the location commission of the BID Sögestraße as well as active in various foundations of the Bremen Chamber of Commerce and in the retail committee.

Shareholder of Justus Wohltmann OHG
Justus Wohltmann OHG has been a member of the CityInitiative for over 25 years and Mr. Wilken Herzberg has also been a member of the board since 2021. Mr. Herzberg has lived in the Mitte district of Bremen for around two decades, so the city center is particularly important to him, both professionally and privately.
Carsten Frenz

Owner Frenz für's Auge
Carsten Frenz has been a member of the CityInitiative since 2000 and was elected to the board in 2010. Mr. Frenz is a master optician and has been self-employed since 1994. He is a member and volunteers in various initiatives in Bremen.
Thomas Real

Owner of the Raths-Apotheke
The Raths pharmacy is one of the founding members of the CityInitiative. Mr. Thomas Real took over the pharmacy at the market place from his parents in 2015 and thus became a member. In 2021, Mr. Real was also elected to the board.
Dr. Frank Schmidt

Director Museum Böttcherstraße Stiftungs GmbH
The museums Böttcherstraße Stiftungs GmbH has been a member of the CityInitiative for many years and since 2018 Dr. Frank Schmidt represented on the board. Since 2016 he has managed the Böttcherstraße Museums and the Paula Modersohn-Becker Museum and the Ludwig Roselius Museum, two cultural institutions in the heart of the city of Bremen.

Born in Bremen, Kristina Steinmüller is the manager of the Peek&Cloppenburg store on Obernstraße. She has also been on the board of the CityInitiative since 2019. Peek & Cloppenburg has been a member of the CityInitiative since 1995.
